Week 3 Games Discussion

What happened?

It was the gold standard.

Well it’s basically Big Noon Colorado now…or more specifically Big Noon Deion

When I posted was prior to it turning into the ‘Prime Show.’ Candidly, they’re on campus in Boulder so, I’m totally OK with that given location and whatnot.

My post was about the clown show / hype shit they are resorting to between segments. It’s gone from as @Thump said, “the gold standard” blend of information, critical analysis with a splash of entertainment to 95% vapid hype bull shit and 5% information.

Fox, congrats… you’re now teaching to the C- / D+ students in the room.

Pure shit.

Ah well i get it now…

I admit, I think If he’s given a top tier program he’ll dominate. I’m sold on his ability to relate to kids and to be the mentor many kids need.

Shoot I’m even thinking If someone goes wrong this year he’s on a short list of coaches I would want here…

That said, he’s an elite football coach and should be treated as such. He’s different, and that makes everyone uncomfortable. I admit I don’t like the sunglasses everywhere stuff but that’s who he is.

For example, if I got hired as tOSU head coach I’d wear mesh shorts everywhere and particularly during games. This is another coaches sweater vest and I see no problem with this.

I hope Sanders stomps CSU and I hope he ruins the season for USC (anyone else beating Colorado I’m good with).

He’s a good man. He doesn’t cuss, he doesn’t drink, he doesn’t smoke, and he’s a very good man for a ton of young men who need it.
What has he done to warrant elite coaching status?

What has he done to warrant elite coaching status?
Not much to warrant specifically elite status, but he does seem to be one of those coaches players respond to and makes a difference in results, similar to Urban. Urban said the same thing Prime said today about the key to coaching - (paraphrasing) the coach needs to make sure the player knows he personally cares about them and their situation.

I've been wondering about this with respect to Ryan for a while. Basically, when he suggested to them that they hang a hundred, and they just laid an egg. I know scheme and lots of factors play a role in game results, but right now Prime seems like someone who could get a Buckeyes team to utilitze the full potential of their high powered offense to overcome D deficiences and hang 50+ when the D gives up 45.
