So evidently there was an LSU player that had the sense of mind to pick up the ball in the end zone and it was ruled an immediate recovery.

It didn’t need to be immediate. It was a live ball sitting in the end zone.

Brad said it hit the pylon, which it didn’t. Neither he, Gary, or the rules guy (Stetatore) said that the play can’t be overturned unless it hit the pylon, rolled out of the end zone, or was recovered by Bama. And they all get paid to not tell us what’s happening!
