I couldn’t believe they said they would replay the down. Even with the whistle it’s either an incomplete pass, a lateral that was recovered quickly enough to be Cowbell ball, or a lateral that wasn’t recovered immediately, so Ole Miss would get the ball where they fumbled it. But no way should Ole Miss get the down over after a failed play on their part.

The other replay they failed on was the Miss St RB with the ball diving for the pylon in the last few minutes. Maybe they didn’t have an angle that proved it was a TD, but it should have been placed no farther away than the 6-inch line, they marked it close to the 1. A couple of feet are a big deal inside the 1. Of course Leach doesn’t run the damn QB sneak …

Yep exactly...

And refs suck at spotting the ball. Unless it's near the goal line or for a first down even half yards are practically not a thing. It's embarrassingly bad.
