I thought that was too much of a risk. He threw into double coverage and almost got sacked.
The short game was working. They took too many deep shots, imo. If they had just kept working the short game, they would've been in better position to at least make the FG to tie.

Watching two B1G West teams wail away on each other is like watching pitchers try and hit in MLB.
There's always the chance at some novelty/weird shit happening but mostly is just a lot of fail.

Martinez hasn't developed like they hoped but McCaffery isn't exactly setting the world on fire, either. Their problems are a lot more extensive than just the QB position.
I remember saying two years ago that I'd take Adrian Martinez over Tate Martell in a heartbeat. Still would.

McCaffery should be the starter hands down. No spring ball + limited fall camp and he's clearly the better QB as a true freshman.
