Week 12 Games Discussion

LJB can do the math, but I don't think anyone other than Bama and Okie can match us for sustained, decade-to-decade excellence since the beginning of WW2.
Hell, Bammer was pretty much irrelevant from the mid-90s until Saban's second year in 2008. Oklahoma was useless for the entirety of the 90s. Since 1995, for 27 years tOSU has been an elite team for most of that time, except a blip from 1999-2001, a rebuilding year in 2004 and the tat-gate 2011 season.

Anyone who was serious about tOSU football during the Cooper years, I am quite certain, takes none of this for granted.

Prior to Coop we had "9 & 3 Earle", but at least he wasn't completely inept versus TTUN. When I was an OSU student we lost at least 3 games every season.

I have no patience for fans who complain about not winning more NCs this century. They're usually young, and think what Saban's doing at Bama is normal.

My first year at tOSU was Coop’s first year. Serious question, Earl or Coop? Big Bear and hot tub commercials aside, which are you taking?

Candidly, he came up to talk to us in Block-O before the first game and that good ‘ol boy hick accent gave me pause. I had no idea how pissed off that hick would make me over the years. There’s a big part of me that would take 9-3 over the endless letdowns of the Coop years. Although, I will give him credit as the first to start the program’s elevation.

My last game at tOSU was Earle's last game. I'm partial to Earle, probably because he sat right behind me one basketball season. We were in the last row of the old bleachers at St. John and he was in the first row of seats. He was nothing but nice, and really didn't seem to like refs - once said they were worse than the football ones.

Not gonna lie I’m rooting for Oregon so we get our rematch. What Day is going to do to them is going to make the Clemson game last year look G-Rated.

I would love to rematch them to shove them into the ground but it aint gonna happen. I have to be happy with the world realizing they are not that good and caught OSU early with a 1 score win
