You can’t go back to before a false start to the previous play can you?

It makes some sense. If the offense was going to lose out on a potential replay, a quick intentional false start could wipe out a turnover on replay, so they can’t have a false start prevent a review.

Of course, only a genius like Bret Bielema would think to do it.

Yeah what was up with that? You ran a play and called a penalty but yet went back to a previous play???

Because of the penalty, that play was never ran, so they could go back to the previous play to review the fumble. I was confused at first, too, but they explained it well, so it actually made sense. But, damn, the first half was fast as shit, with only three possessions each (not count the one-snap kneel-down at the end of the half).
