What was the fucking explanation for adding a second on the clock??
They showed a video replay that the replay officials used. it had a running clock on the computer monitor that was counting time to hundredths of a second. They say when the ball was touched there was still about half a second left. Problem is, the NCAA rulebook specifically says partial seconds are not used in football. Anything under a full second is 0.

Yeah, the MAC commissioner issued a statement accepting the explanation they got from the B1G.

Another factor is that on the spike play, the clock went to 8 and they reset it to 9.

But it probably shouldn’t have been a full 9, it could have been 8.4, then the first Hail Mary would have run out on the computer monitor they say they used.

It shows that they really need game clocks with tenths of a second in the last 2 minutes of each half.
