You kids stay off my lawn!
I started my web site several years ago using Hot Metal. It was pretty nifty stuff for the time (97) But that computer and the soft ware are long gone. I'm in the process of re-writing, re-doing my site and discovering that the Web Maker software in Windows sucks. Anyone know the name of a good, yet inexpensive software program? Any recommendations?

Depends what you need really cinci.

If you want all the bells and whistles of CSS, Server-Side Scripting, Frames Support, FTP upload and on and on then there is only one worthy choice, DreamWeaver. This though is pricey, running $300 for which I would have thought Java support would be included. It is truly industrial strength stuff and has the best by way of additions and extensions.
If you can sacrifice some of the bells and whistles (no frames, no Java) then Nvu is a good and free choice, which does support CSS2. Also good is Composer which explicitly supports Frames, but no CSS2.
All three support Java Script.
Here is a page comparing these three against other commercial and free WYSIWYG HTML editors.
