What does anyone use for remote control of computers? I'm looking into doing remote technical support and wanted to know others' experiences.
At my place of employment, we use TightVNC and it works like a charm internally (free too). The main drawback is VNC server would need to be installed on every remote PC I work on and I know it can be tricky establishing a connection with NAT-enabled routers.
I know a few friends who use Cisco's Webex to set up online meetings, which allows them to view/control other computers. This seems to work well, save for the $$$ that Cisco charges.
I've recently found a program called Mikogo which is a free web meeting program. It will allow me to host a meeting, then allow the user to join the meeting, and I can eventually see their screen and/or take control as need be. I've used it on a limited test basis and have been fairly pleased with the results thus far.
Does anybody use anything else?
