We the People For the People

CCI

Metal Rules
imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500
employees and has the following statistics: 29 have been accused of
spousal abuse
* 7 have been arrested for fraud
* 19 have been accused of writing bad checks
* 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
* 3 have done time for assault
* 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
* 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
* 8 have been arrested for shoplifting
* 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
* 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

Can you guess which organization this is?

Give up yet?

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group
of idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to
keep the rest of Americans in line.

I wonder how many of the 535 have done more than one of the aforementioned crimes? That would help shed light on the truly trustworthy versus the ones that are truly slimeballs.

That does remind me of the old saying, "I love my country, but fear my government"

Our government is not a government by the people and for the people. All you have to do is look at the decisions that are being made and the lack of ethical leadership that is being displayed by many of those in power.

That is not to say that these same things are not happening in the private/commercial sector, because they are. There are so many cases in point, Stewart, Enron, etc.

As with so many popular emails that are always floating around the country, this one is misleading and possibly not even completely true.
This list is not a list of current elective officials. It is a list of past and present officials. The list makes you believe they are speaking of our current congress.
This list was comprised by a group that claims it's information is all correct and has the goods to proove it. But when ask to show their proof, they have repeatedly refused to show their findings.
For any of you that receive emails that sound a little bit far fetched, there's a great web site to confirm it's truth.

www.truthorfiction.com

You wouldn't believe how many emails are completely false.

How about the recent Mel Gibson email about his being beaten badly? false!
Photos of the space shuttle blowing up. False
Any of you get the email about Lee Marvin and Bob Keeshan (Capt. Kangaroo) in the Marines? It's a lie.

Why would reading a lie be interesting?
It's nothing more than a waste of my time.
well ashlandbuck I posted it and to get replies like your makes it all worth it. I did not research the data and I will do so on some crazy info I run across next time. The board needs posters, so I posted something..... :osu:
