We Got Robbed Last Night

That sucks. Down here in Miami bad stuff is always happening. I live in Aventura now which is a mostly upscale area... mostly russian and jewish. Just recently a Dr. that use to play basketball at Da U was killed in an apparent car jacking.... whats f'ed up is... it happened at 8:15pm on a Sunday in a parking lot that is shared by Houstons, Mortons and PF Changs... so you'd think it would be safe. So you can't really hide from crime. Being in the industry I'm in and the cliental that I sometimes have to deal with I went out and got my concealed weapons liscense and an HK P2000. There's too many wrong doers out there.

Sorry to hear about that Mr. I.....I hope karma comes back and takes a nice bite out of his ass!!! But I'm glad your wife and family are ok that is the main issue....I know it sucks. I walked into our house a little over a year ago and we were robbed. They took alot of shit of ours (i.e., electronics and some of my wifes jewelry). So I know how you feel when you say, "should I open the door for a MF..." I was scared to death knowing my wife and daughter were at home when I was at work. I had to spend thousands on a new security system and was constantly in fear of someone being there again. When some asshole does that to you you have some of your personal security robbed with it......Lets hope they find that asshole, maybe you find him first then the cops :biggrin: , and gets some jail time....

Hate to hear that... glad everyone was physically okay. That punk was awfully lucky you two were in skates, with his speed and your size to finish him off. I love the cops answer to your pontification.

Let me just say this to all of you guys. If you get an alarm system, spend the extra money for an audible alarm. By the time the alarm company calls your house, then the PD,then the PD gets dispatched, then they get there...your shit is gone and/or you have had to kill a mother fucker. Most times, the audible alarm scares them away.

I would rather scare some body away than have to kill them. Trust me when I say, I don't mind killing a worthless thief or drug addict, but I have to remember....that is somebody's son/ brother/ father/ cousin/ etc....

Shit happens, thankfully nobody got hurt.

This was my only thought in terms of a punchline, Nasty beat me to it. :lol:

I was still fairly pissed yesterday so my sense of humor, what little I have, was still absent, and my spelling and grammar as well as sentence structure were a mess. Thump actually PM'd me to ask me to clean it up when my head clears. I think I owe it to him. :)

As many of you have said, it's not what happened that bothered me as much as it was a reminder that no one is spared in terms of potential targeting. I guess this is a reminder to each of us that we always have to be aware of those around us because it's very difficult to pick out that wolf in sheeps clothing.

No, it was just a joke. He didn't PM me. :)

I play ice hockey and had a game tonight with a bunch of people that get together once a week for essentially organized pick-up. As soon as I pull in, I looked over at the truck in the spot next to me and the window was shattered. I told one of the employees of the rink, and they got the owner to come out. He said they grabbed his wife's purse, under the seat. What's going on with crime in Columbus? :shake:

Nah, my wife doesn't carry the house key. Thank goodness for that, I actually was at Wally World that night (at 11:30 Home Depot or Lowe's is closed) to try to find a deadbolt and lock when she called me and told me she didn't carry one. That saved a little headache.
