WC - Wednesday morning games (7:30 ET, ESPN)

Yeah, this has been one of the better games I've watched, but the finishing in this tournament remains weak. Players have been far too cute. Not enough killer instinct to just go for goal.

Spain looks like they were out there for a scrimmage. Just a lack of focus on goal-scoring opportunities like they expected the Swiss to roll over or that their superior possession skills would automatically give them goals.

I have no clue where there were 5 full minutes of play being stopped.

I've only seen that once before. I watched an MLS game where a goalie got hurt and a new one had to be brought in -so they gave him a minute to stretch and warm up

This reminded me so much of the US game just a year ago. Defend well, get some luck, get some goalkeeping help, finish chances (PK and a lucky goal by Jozy). Then hang on.
