Spain get a penalty and David Villa a shot at a hat trick, only to see the low shot go wide of the target.
In my estimation that's fair. There was indeed a foul, and it was indeed inside the box, but it was about the softest legitimate penalty you'll see in this tournament. The call met the letter of the rule but not the spirit in that case.
