From Cape Town Stadium.

Suarez isn't complaining about having to sit this one out.

Support is 1000 to 1 in favor of The Netherlands in Cape Town today. Just got back from the FIFA Fan Fest and there is no one there who is not in Orange. Saw CNN interviewing four Uruguayan fans.

The headlines here today: "Uruguayan coach: 'We're not cheats!'" Sure, right. Since when did the game have two goalies for one side?

It's a bit chilly, about 65F, with the game starting in about an hour. It rained this morning but has been sunny and warm the entire afternoon.

Go Orange!

Van Bronckhorst - 18'

Goal of the tournament.

Agreed - that was an awesome strike from over 30 yards out, into the far upper corner, glancing off the post about 4 inches below the crossbar.

I don't understand the backlash to that play. Every single player/coach in the ESPN studio said "I absolutely would have done the same thing" that's why he was sent off and given the penalty

Bad miss on the offside call on Kuyt during stoppage time. Those referee's assistants have to do a better job. They missed one on each team in that half.

Aside from David Villa he's been the most consistently dangerous player in this tournament IMO.

Yep - I thought he had the best first 2 games of anybody.

Forlan is probably lucky that de Jung is out today, or he'd have a few cleat marks on the back of his calves.
