WC Qualifier: USA at Mexico, Tues 10:00 ESPN

I think 0-0 is pretty good for the USA given the close calls in front of their net. Need to tilt the pitch the other direction in the second half.

The longer Mexico doesn't score the more their crowd will turn and the more pressure they'll feel to move forward...perhaps opening the back door.

Well one thing for sure, we aren't playing to score goals. No one pushes forward to play offense. It's your typical US team. Leaving 2 guys to play offense and they lose the ball just to play defense again

There is no pressure on the ball around midfield. Are we playing for a draw, with the outside possibility of a counter somewhere down the line?
Can't build up anything out of the back when Mexico loses possession.

Defensive backline is shaky and content to boot the ball up the field. No on-ball composure to start up any attack.

Counter will have to be it on one of these boots.
