WC Qual: Costa Rica at USA (Wed, 7:30 ET, ESPN2)

Correct. I don't know how many qualifying games are left however.

None, it would carry over to the World Cup. That's why it'd be so inadvisable to deploy Altidore in the 2nd half. That card was garbage, but that only reinforces the point. Crappy CONCACAF officials would have too much power over our fate.

No more qualifyers...so that means that if the Mexico-Trinidad score holds up...then it doesn't fucking matter what happens this game? We'd place 1st in Concacaf?

Screw it then. Jozy, love your fight. But sit big boy.

Carries to World-Cup. That's what I've been hearing.

As for the game...just doesn't seem like our night. Chance, after chance. The D is shaky, but damn, the offense is creating. It's just not going in.

Jozy is a man-possessed. Playing for his boy (and roomie) Charlie. However, he does need to be pulled at the half. He's got a shirt for Charlie underneath and if he scores, I'm sure his youth will show and he'll take off his jersey. Automatic yellow. Red. Miss world cup opener.

I don't know what to say. The ball just isn't going in. :(

What's up with the kid who just got citizenship like a year ago? I think he was African or Black...was a starter from whatever national team he came from.
Not sure if this is who you're thinking of, but Jermaine Jones is half-black. He's from Germany, one of the best midfielder's in the Bundesliga the last couple years.

He broke his leg and looked to return around this time, but then had a set-back. Not sure when he'll get some time with the National team. Certainly would help. He's gonna need some friendlies to fit in, but if he gets healthy, he appears to be an instant impact type of player. He'd step in and be one of the top 4-5 players on the field.

Yeah that's who I'm talking about. If he can be a great midfielder in Bundesliga then I'm sure he can have a great impact for the US. Good to hear he'll be back in time for the Cup. I know there are a ton of friendlies in between now and then so I'm sure he'll get some work in.

We have Ibrahimovic and Switzerland as a friendly coming up.

GOOOOAAAAAALLLLLL! Bradley! WE're back in it. Let that be the removal of the doorstop on the goal box!
