WC Qtrs - Brazil vs Netherlands (Fri 10 ET, ESPN)

Robben, one-trick pony (lefty).

Brazil defends as a team and NED just looked clueless in giving him support.

Yep - Robben had a huge opening to take a right-footed shot from 20 yards out just as stoppage time began. And he headed left toward 3 defenders.

The middle of the Dutch defense looks vulnerable, just as it did against Slovakia, who didn't have the finishers that Brazil has. That opening through-ball for the goal went through a hole a mile wide.

The Dutch keeper did have a fine save against Kaka.

Sneijder - 53'! :groove:

Unlike Maicon's spectacular goal in the group stage, that looked like more of a service than a shot. It looked like it got a slight deflection off the head of a Brazilian defender, who also got in the way of Julio Cesar trying to pluck it out of the air. It was more of a Brazilian mistake than a Dutch accomplishment, but it gets them back in a match where they were being dominated.

That''s a bad decision to call it an own goal off of Felipe Melo. The ball hardly changed direction at all.

If they don't change that before the end of the match, there may be a delay in settling this vBet, to see if the official scorer comes to his senses.

Rather a moot point now, at least for the vBet. :wink2:
