This pattern suggests a male stereotype that some of us don't appreciate!

Nooooo Way. I wouldn't ever sterotype my husband (band geek) Because I love the man. (band geek) hehe.

Actually, Buckeyejeb, you could always do what my dad did on Saturdays...give your wife some money, and tell her to go shopping or something equally as nice. My mom HATES football...but after 31 years with my dad she has come to understand football=Casino time...she is a very happy woman.

Good stuff, glad to see that there are some loving women out there.

Actually, my wife is a teacher and she is completely down with watching football games with me on Saturdays. After dealing with kids all week, she enjoys just hanging out. As for tomorrow, we'll either go to a bar....or listen to the Indiana game on radio, then I'll watch the Iowa vs. Michigan game. She sometimes will run errands and what not, but she doesn't harp me for watching football. She knew going in to marriage what my football demands were, and has grown to really enjoy watching football.

Quite honestly, I couldn't stand being married to a woman who got irritated with me watching football.

In the autumn, I'm only really married for 6 days a week.

On Saturdays, my wife is completely on her own, and she's fine with that. Last month, she said something about making some money by spending time with guys who weren't watching football all day. I was watching College Gameday at the time, so I really didn't hear what she said.

She came home around midnight, after I was done watching about 12 games and the ESPN late-night wrap-up with Kirk, Lee, and Chris.

She said she had made $140.25. I asked who gave her the 25 cents. She said:

"They all did."

I admire her initiative.
