Washington Commanders (official thread)

Just sayin': In the history of the NFL you may never of had 3 better QBs on one team. There are teams that had 2 great QBs like the Packers (Rodgers & Favre) and the 49ers (Montana & Young), etc., but not 3.

Yes, they did; however, Blanda didn't play much QB for them.

Stabler 70 - 79
Lamonica 67 - 74
Blanda 67 - 75

Blanda was 47 when he threw his last TD pass. They say 46 but this game was played 3 months after his 47th birthday - last game of the 1974 season.

Washington Football Team's Ron Rivera: I haven't given up on benched Dwayne Haskins

Washington Football Team coach Ron Rivera said Dwayne Haskins remains in his plans, despite being benched earlier this week.

"By no means have I given up on him," Rivera said.

Washington benched Haskins in favor of Kyle Allen for Sunday's game vs. the Los Angeles Rams. Haskins will be the No. 3 quarterback, behind Alex Smith. The move represents a major pivot as Rivera previously said he'd stick with Haskins through the growth process.

.
"A big part of it is watching and studying," Rivera said. "Like today, he was back there behind the quarterback watching the reps, looking downfield. Just being involved, staying connected, which is important. ... I've told you guys the only reason I'm doing what I'm doing is because of the circumstances and the situation we're in right now."
.
.
.
"There are things Dwayne was still learning to do that Kyle knows in terms of communicating with the offensive line," Rivera said. "It's something as we go through this and progress, Dwayne will learn and see how these things are done."

So the new guy just got concussed and they are onto a one legged Alex smith. Suddenly their QB situation looks very dicey and they could have to go back to Haskin's next week after telling the whole world what a peace of shit he is... Good job Redskin's way to make a cluster into an even bigger cluster

Just sayin': John Gruden has always liked Dwayne Haskins. I don't know whether the Raiders have settled on Carr as their long term solution at QB; regardless, you saw yesterday in the Dallas game how important it is to have a competent game ready QB2. When Prescott was injured, Dalton (with a couple huge assists from Gallop) came in and won the game for them. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see Haskins ending up a Raider.
