Also, if anyone has any suggestions as to what to see/do while out there, post them here. I've never been to Seattle, so I'd love some ideas.

There is something for everybody here no matter what your interests. I am not into Sushi so I can't offer a personal recommendation but there is plenty of fresh sea food here.

Your question is a little open ended but if you indicate what your interests are other than sushi, I can probably help. There are always the standard Space Needle, Museum of Flight, Jimi Hendrix Music Experience standard tourist stuff. SAFECO Field is a good venue for baseball and the Mariners will be at home. There are plenty of outdoor attractions in the surrounding area including Mt St Helens, Snoqualmie Falls, and wineries.

I'm sure that last word will get sushi's attention. :tongue2:

No mention of Pike Place Market? It's worth a visit to see the fish get tossed around.

We're already hitting a few wineries (on Thursday) -- Chateau Ste Michelle and Columbia Crest, and maybe a few smaller ones.

Pike Place is a given. :)

SEATTLE TRIP...MILI WE'RE THERE!

SEATTLE: A heads up for BUCKEYES traveling...

I just got this email from my buddy BENTOFAN (yeah the instigator!). All pertinent text is HIGHLIGHTED in BOLD!

I just got back home Monday from Idaho and Canada. When does your flight
come in? Give me the details. Don't worry about trying to get to Husky
stadium and back. You're going with me and my friends early and tailgate.
Saturday's going to be a liong day so no early drinking for me until we hit
the bar across the street from my place after the game and watch UH/UNLV at the Rocksport. My friends bar isn't going to be open in time. He's had some setbacks and is way behind schedule right now.
I want to see Ohio State fans run over the Rocksport bar and grill the whole week because that's where Michigan fans use that as their home base to watch their games.

Ho, dat Bento!

Those that have it...BRING YOUR APPALACHIAN STATE gear to The Rocksport Bar and Grille!

Just got my tickets today. Looks like I'm stuck in Section 3, Row S.

Pretty shitty seats, but I'm in the stadium baby!!!!

Where's everyone else sitting?

BB73 and I are debating whether to use the seats he bought on-line (upper deck between the 40-yard-lines) or the ones in the corner of the endzone with the rest of the Buckeye fans. Whichever we choose not to use we'll make available to Buckeye fans for purchase at cost.

Still on for a few brews?

I bought great seats for Texas last year, but missed out on all the fun of sitting in the Ohio State section. We only had a few Buckeye fans around us to celebrate with. It's a nice dilemma to have.

If I survive our hike up Mount St. Helens, I'm definitely in for beers.

Brewery tour = free beers. Sounds like a plan...

Mom
Well, where'd you boys get all this beer?

Dad
You stole it, didn't you!? I'm calling the police!

Bob
No way, dad. This was free beer, dad. There's more outside.

Dad
How much more?

Doug
Oh, about ten or twelve cases. We got jobs at Elsinore brewery. We
work there now, eh?

Dad
Do you hear that, honey? They got JOBS! They got FREE BEER!
Hahahahahah!

Which section(s) are the "Buckeye" sections? I'm a Buckeye living in Boise, and heading up to Seattle that weekend. I would like to sit with fellow buckeye fans if possible. Need 2 tix if any are available!

thanks all! :oh:

If BB73 and I decide to use the tix he got on-line instead of the tix a friend gave us in the Buckeye section, we'll sell you the tix for the Buckeye section at cost...well, "at cost" meaning the actual cost of the tix plus a couple beers for each of us.
