I'm a huge Walt Harris fan. I thought he would restore Pitt to greatness.

After a few years at the helm, the program is stalled. Harris has no excuses, either. Pleanty of PA talent, and JoePa isn't exactly hoarding all the good ones. He is supposedly an offensive genius, but their offense is just plain awful.

If Harris can't turn the ship around in the next couple of years, I suspect he might be on the hot seat. If he does get whacked, do you think JT would take him as a QB or OC?

Just a dumb thought.

I would also (selfishly) love to see D'Antonio fail with the Bearcats and end up back here.

Realistically though, I believe that Bollman is a good friend of JT's and that he will never be fired. This means that we're stuck with him, because you can bet your ass that no one will hire him out from under us!

Not a dumb thought. Maybe a random, unsubstantiated thought, but not dumb.:wink2:

Harris' time here was the only part of the Cooper Era, that I enjoyed. I would love to see him come back, but I doubt that will ever be an option. Especially since it's not the same coach He was under before. I was actually hoping that we could bring Pagac back, when Callahan was fired by the Raiders. Obviously that never happend either.

I can't see it happening but I wouldn't be upset if it did. He has proven his ability as a HC...he probably should have looked for greener pastures after the past few seasons for recruiting/talent purposes but I can't see him accepting a coordinator position at the college level...now the NFL may be another story

I think that would be sweet- I think he'd be a nice OC. But I agree that it probably won't happen. Tressel and Harris are the same type of guy- OC/OB coach. I don't think JT would see the need for a "mini me".

FWIW, there was an article about Harris in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette at the beginning of the season. It surmised that if Harris doesn't show drastic improvement this year, he is gone. Apparently he has pissed some folks off (including the AD) by saying the wrong thing and by being somewhat arrogant. The Anthony Morrelli recruitment didn't go over too big either.
