We ended up paying more to rent a shopping cart than we ever have anywhere else.

I wonder if they'd be upset if I brought my own?

On my first time, I didn't realize you were supposed to bring your own grocery bags / boxes. Ended up leaving some behind - refunded - because of nothing to carry it in. Stupid! Maybe they could have had a sign "sack your own" or whatever.

You get your quarter back when you return the cart. Lazy fucker.

Or I get your quarter back when I return your cart.

Not only did I get my quarter back but the cart next to ours was not hooked up correctly

I do enjoy shopping at the new Publix down the road from me when I specifically shop their "sales," but otherwise I still mostly shop at Walmart and put up with the tourists and crowds. Our Targets down here are real crappy for some reason, I actually prefer Walmarts here over our Targets.

For anything but clothes I shop at Walmart more than Target, but they're in the process of putting a full grocery in our Target so we might end up going there more. I still don't see it being able to compete with the Walmart grocery. I'm in the odd situation of having a Walmart and Target a few minutes from home, 2 Heinen's are 5-10 minutes, and 3 Giant Eagle's are 10-15.

I usually check out the clearance racks at Target for cheap clothes. I need talls so I'm limited to shorts and short sleeve shirts that don't need to be tucked in.

We drop $200 a month at Costco so that takes care of a large amount of our grocery needs.

No Aldi's nearby, but it isn't like I could get my wife to shop there anyway.

Anyone been to Kroger recently? Their new customer tracking system does an amazing job of making sure enough registers are open. I've had an open lane waiting for me the the past two times I've shopped there, just wish we had them up here in the Cleveland area. Target, Walmart, Giant Eagle, etc. could learn something from Kroger.

I actually prefer Walmart, but I did grow up in south Zanesville...

Nowadays I do most of my shopping at amazon. What I can't get there (deodorant, motor oil, toiletries) I get at Walmart. Food comes from a local co-op, a farm, or on occasion, the grocery store. I'm a hickster.

Are you in the Mentor/Willoughby area? I'm here in Willoughby and as you said I have 3 walmarts, 2 targets, 4 giant eagles, and 2 heinens all within 15mins of me - lol.

Target. My new place is walking distance from both a Super Target and a Publix. Since all the Q-tips from Century Village (a century is how old you apparently have to be to live there) like to shop Publix, I prefer Target to stay away for the slow and rude old people.

I avoid the Walmarts down here as they are just gross.
