Visiting fans at the Shoe

borna'horn

I will be in C-bus next weekend and was just wondering: How are visiting fans treated at the Shoe, particularly in a night game?

The thought has crossed my mind, especially if Texas wins, that I may want to be incognito instead of decked out my burnt orange. Am I just being paranoid?

Remember, we're used to southern hospitality. :)

You should be treated fine, as long as you're not an idiot about the game.

Sure, you'll have some drunken idiots that may give you a little hassle, but ,for the most part, you'll be treated fine.

You should be fine, that said you might want to bring a nuetral colored jacket to slip on after the game just in case the horns do win. It should eliminate the chances of getting messed with. As long as you aren't wearing one of those 35 gallon hats or something stoopid

99.9% of the OSU fans wont do more than give you some verbal flack. However, there will be 100,000 of us. You do the math.

I would also suggest you get there early enough to park in the big lots near the stadium. There is a lot of off street parking east of campus. That is where I always park. I wont park there for a night game of this magnitude, even wearing S&G.

For the most part, if you give respect, you'll get it in return. No matter what you do at a visiting stadium, you are likely to hear a few jerks throw out a "Texas sucks" shout or something to that effect. Just be careful not to respond in a way that will encourage escalation.

I have been to a LOT of games and have seen very few incidents to speak of. Most of those were just shouting matches that happened because visitors were talking smack.

As loud and crazy as Buckeye fans can be...I think we are very respectful to visitors (other than Mich. fans). If only we were half as respectful to the city of Columbus after games. :ohwell:
