  • OK... so the Nets are going to give Carter a $61.8M / 4 year deal...

someone explain that to me... I am beyond bewildered...

I was a Vince Carter junkie for years... but that shipped has sailed... this is NOT the same Vince Carter as 5 years ago when him and Grant Hill ruled the roost...

whens the last time he actually dunked on someone? did he do it at all this year?

he really settles for the jump shots these days and doesn't have the it factor to get a team over the hump

When I visited my friend , I saw the gym he built at his high school, looks nice as hell, good to see athletes that give back. Props to him on that.

That's my high school. Admittedly, several years before VC arrived...

He put out half the money for the school itself.

well.. I'm glad there's some purpose for paying him that absurd amount per year... so he can pay for Scooters school... :wink2: .. because it certainly can't be for constantly shooting 4-20 in key games...

They didn't lie when they said it pays to get your education. Even if you do bail on your team to attend graduation.

No matter how much "Air Canada (?)" may rip off his current employers, the fact that he's giving back is an example that most of his fellow ballers should follow. The amount of money is ridiculous, and I'm glad the guy can at least find it in his heart to donate. Way to go, Vince. Now, stay away from the Lakers, will ya? :)
