It’s been a rough road for Greg Oden since leaving Ohio State and being selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the first pick of the 2007 NBA Draft.
It looked like the big man was back on the road to success during the 2013-14 season when he got a shot with LeBron James and the Miami Heat to be a key reserve. Lack of progression and Off the court issues that led to a battery charge changed the road quickly for Oden.
After a spring and summer working out with coach Thad Matta and former teammate Mike Conley at Memphis, it looks like the former Buckeye is back on the right track.
After workouts with the Mavericks and Hornets this summer, the 7 foot center signed a $1.2 million dollar contract with the Jiangsu Dragons of the Chinese Basketball Association.
In his preseason debut, Oden dropped 23 points and grabbed 14 boards in his preseason debut.
