What was the very first rock record (or CD, for some of you...) that you ever owned?

I think mine was Kansas- Two for the Show.
Wow, DE, you started with a good one!

I can't remember, but was I'm sure it was a 45. - maybe "Lean on Me" by Bill Withers?
First LP, might have been "A New World Record" by ELO.

When my parents bought me my first CD player for Christmas back in the 90's they got me Meatloaf - Bat out of Hell 2. Shortly after the first 2 albums I bought were Aerosmith - Get a Grip, and Metallica's black album.

Well, I got a lot of 8-tracks and LPs growing up, but I think my very first rock album that I could call my own (meaning I didn't have to share with my three older sisters) was probably Men At Work's Cargo. Although the same week I received Billy Joel's Piano Man, which I returned to the record store to exchange for Quiet Riot's Metal Health. Somewhere in there should also be Styx's Killroy Was Here too. I got my own stereo and all three of those for the same birthday, so it's kind of a blur.

My first record was Simon & Garfunkel "Cecilia" (a single), I played it on a plastic Mickey Mouse record player when I was 4 or 5 or something. I kept scrathing my parents' album (mostly billy joel, IIRC. . .)

The first album I paid for, sought out, was Dead Milkmen - Big Lizard in My Backyard in 5th grade. . .
