VCU +11.5 vs Kansas (ov/un 146.5) Sun 2:10 CBS

Two shots for VCU at the top of the shot clock that weren't close. 4-0 run by Kansas.

Now is where a smart coach would slow it down and go inside.

Work the twins and get them more frustrated than they already are. We'll see.

I really hope VCU doesn't let up the rest of the game. If VCU wins, the final four will have the same feel as 2006, a lot of teams that nobody really thought would be there. Wasn't George Mason a 11 seed?

I believe so.

Man would I love to see a Kentucky, Connecticut, Butler, VCU Final Four.

I knew the parity this year was way up, but I didn't imagine it was like this.

VCU has been impressive. Shaka Smart made a great adjustment after it was 0-6, with Kansas hitting lobs to the Morris twins when they were fronted without weakside help.

And discounting Kansas's last-second heave, VCU managed to get a 2-for-1 after he called his first-half-only timeout with a little over a minute left. Nice to see a team play that right for a change.

Kansas needs to keep pounding it inside and hope the fouls mounting up will cripple VCU.

Really, though, VCU is the only one that is a huge surprise looking back on it. Butler was an inch or two away from winning it all last year, UCONN has the best player in the tournament imo, and Kentucky is one of the most talented teams in the country, who is playing hot at the right time.

That being said, still a pretty random Final Four and I do agree that the parity is pretty crazy this year.

I'd like that final four. If I'm not mistaken the lowest seed to make the nat'l championship was 8. It'd be beyond crazy if VCU made it.

Yes, and they're from the same conference as VCU - the CAA.
