I did not realize that Tennessee has lost three straight games. Anyone know when the last time is they lost 4 straight?

This is a heavyweight battle of coaches if there ever was one.

1988 - When in fact the Vols lost 6 in a row. So Phil has a little ways to go to equal that feat. He will take a baby step on that road in South Bend and the Vols will fall to ND, assuring Fat Phil of new low in his coaching career with the Vols - a 4-game losing streak, prior to this season under Fulmer the Vols had never lost 3 in a row.

When you have to go back to a year when Duke won 7 games you are talking ancient history.

(Actually, Duke did win 8 games in 2000 through 2004, but that's total, not per season.)

The ND game will be kind of interesting in another regard.

As of 10/31 UT's Offensive Coordinator has effectively resigned. Ricky Sanders stays on campus as the QB coach (which really is another whole mess) and play-calling responsibilities will shared among the staff.

Wonder if they will do rock-paper-scissors to decide who is up next to call the plays?

This development makes the 9.5 line look very, very slim in my view.

Best thing about this game is somebody will lose. Worst thing is that someone will win. I would love to see Weiss take a hit on the heels of the new contract, but I don't see how Phat Charlie can lose to Phat Phil

That would be Chubby Charlie. It's all about alliteration.
