How about we rephrase and say that "our QB played worse than Tommy Maddox". Although how it bashing a NCAA QB to say he wasn't as good as a NFL QB doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I think there is a bigger corelation between talking smack and playing like weve already won than most think. To be honest, that game against PSU reminded me of the Cinci game on Sunday. Recievers came into the game talking smack, both had big heads, both had a chance on a last minute drive to win the game, both QBs got sacked and fumbled the ball away to seal the loss.
I would rather us come into this game seriously, expecting hard hits from their team and win than talk smack and pull out a squeeker.

I'm suggesting that you have no idea whether we talked smack and came out focused, or were full of ourselves. All we got was one interview, and I highly doubt that JT allowed his guys to look past Happy Valley, which has been a tough location even when PSU was awful.
