See this is a perfect example of why you should never bet with your emotions...

I'm in the top 10 on Pick em but can't win a dang tOSU bet...

This week, I'm betting on emotion because I was too chicken shit to bet on them last week.

I don't get it...why the heck are we favored?!?! Iowa is better than NC State...and we are worse now than we were back then. How can 2-0 OSU be a 3 point underdog @ NC State, but a 3-2 OSU is a 2.5 point favorite @ Iowa. Iowa hasn't lost a home game. I'm not putting a dime on this game...cuz I have no clue what's going to happen in it.

Call me an idiot, but I am not sure how this whole thing works. I have heard that who ever wins gets double what they put in, so if I put in 100 then if I win I get 200. This is good except for games like Marshal. I recall around 24,000 Vcash was bet on OSU to cover, and only 2,400 was bet against OSU. That means 4,800 will be paid out, right? What happens to the other 19,000 or so, does it just disappear?

Iowa is getting 2.5 at home. Pragmatically, that is too much to pass up, so I am going to take Iowa and the points and bet 10 chips.

That said, OSU should walk in this game. OSU has looked like crap for two games in a row, and it feels like the locker room is about to blow up if they lose again. The Northwestern game was inexcusable, the Wisconsin game was an understandable loss. But if OSU loses to Iowa, their chances are blown and it becomes a one game season.

I expect OSU to come out and kick the garbage out of Iowa. 27-17 Buckeyes.

the payout states 1/1... so if you win you get your vcash back and you get the same amount in "winnings"... if you place 100 and win you get 200. It doesn't matter how many folks bet on each side. So if everybody is on one side and that side win, everybody doubled their money (vcash isn't like real money, it can be created out of thin air)...
