vBook: Davidson vs OSU

What do you think of your chances HL?

Well i have the horns losing in the sweet 16 to Iowa, if they happen to make it past that then i don't see us getting past duke. It is not really a question of tallent but execution. this is the first texas team that i can remember that doesn't take care of the ball and has a habit of taking bad shots. The championship game was a prime example, at one point kansas had 32 points off of turnovers to our 6. I just don't think its our year. I hope i am wrong.

My final four is Duke, Uconn, Kansas, Ohio State

I think UT will get by Iowa. Brunner won't be able to play his lower-the-shoulder football with Buckman and Aldridge. So long as you guys don't let Horner shoot the lights out, you'll win. I like UT by 15.

I see you logic and believe me it was counterintuitive to make this pick, but for some reason teams that take the air out of the ball have been giving us trouble. On top of that we are not a deep team this year so we have been playing more 2-3 zone to try and keep LA out of foul trouble. Normally i like this because for the last couple of years our 2-3 has been second to none, but lately it seems like we have a better chance of stopping a 4 on 1 break than we do a half court set with our 2-3. It is porous (sp?) to say the least.

Personally, I think West Virginia will beat Iowa...then I have WVU/Texas...still haven't picked that one yet.

i just think that this west virginia team is still riding the coattails of last years team. I know there are most of the same players but they just don't seem as hungry as last year. Both Iowa and WV gave Texas fits at the begining of the year and if Pittsnoglea;lkjk could have made a shot WV would have won.

West Virginia is one of those streaky teams...they struggled, won a crapload, and struggled. They're the type of team that makes a deep run or loses immediately...the fun is picking which.
