Vancouver things to do

Grouse Mountain has some great views of the city. Stanley Park is also a great place to relax and waste some time. The part of the city called Gastown had some nice restaurants.

I was there in the late fall, not sure exactly how the city is in the summer.

Let's hope you have better weather than when I visited. Started raining once we landed and did not stop until we flew out four days later. We had a dinner meeting on top of one of those mountains. So much fog you could not see a damn thing.

Have sushi. And oysters. And salmon. Basically, the seafood kicks ass.

As far as things to do in town, I was only in Vancouver for a day or so before driving up to Whistler to ski, so I don't have any suggestions. The 'sea to sky highway' was a pretty epic drive, however.

It was in '01, so I think it would've been before the Olympic improvements...so, old road I guess?

I would imagine Vancouver and much spiffier in the aftermath of last winter's Olympics than it was when I visited 9 years ago.

they reinforced parts, added a few passing areas, etc.

it is probably the most scenic road i have been on. better than the pacific coast highway or road to the sky in glacier. skiing in pissler is nice, but probably overrated...

victoria is a nice place. same with kelowna. bc has a pretty nice wine country, not as crowded as say napa/sonoma. but not as renowned either.

gastown as mentioned has a lot of nice places to eat if that is your thing.

as bus said drugs are big, you can find a few places down by gm that will aid you in doping so you dont od...

there are a lot of pretty scenic drives. its def different than central ohio if you are just want to see terrain, water, oceans, etc

:lol: We had good snow at the very top of the mountain and it transitioned to rain by the time we were at the base.

Stanley Park is great. I rented a bike and did a circuit with lots of stops.

Granville Island was also worth the visit.

Good aquarium as well if you enjoy aquariums. Not the best I have seen.

Only there one day and with no car so I can't vouch for the other sites.
