Van Halen to be the next band on "Rock Star"??

My mom also liked Mac Davis, Glenn Campbell, Anne Murray... Luckily we always had radios playing almost everywhere in the house, bathroom, garage, I had one in my room plus a pretty dent record player that my dad bought from a yard sale. I pretty much started hearing music from the cradle onward. The first songs I remember listening to as a kid were songs like Everything is Beautiful by Ray Stevens, Tie a Yellow Ribbon by Dawn, Knocking on Heaven's Door... Music has helped me to remember my life chronologically by what was playing on the radio at the time. I fight it astounding how so many people can't remember dates let alone years. I was talking to an older woman at work, she was talking about Jimmy Carter and couldn't even remember which decade he was president.
Well, it was a Presidency worthy of forgetting….

Every now and again, U-tube shows stuff from the past, and I never fail to watch "Jump". Apart from EVH's marvelous guitar (and keyboard) solos, David Lee's antics (and of course his jump and touch his ear), cannot be rivaled. As opined, DL's voice was sufficient, and his stage presence was outstanding. Cannot dispute Sammy's voice was better (can't drive 55), but would rather watch VH with DL making love to the microphone. PS, grew up with Beethoven, Mantovani, and Mom's favorite, Henry Mancini. Branched out in the late 60's when went to college.
