True that this year's CFP games have been non-competitive (excluding ASU/Tex). However, this shouldn't be an indictment on the system as a whole:
* If we were still in a 4-team format, OSU and ND would not have made it, so opening to 12 teams did impact the teams left in the tournament.
* I would suggest this will be an abnormal year. I expect some non-competitive games with this format every year, but not 7 of 8 in most years.
* I expect more competitive games if seeding/bye system is adjusted
I recall several consecutive years with non-competitive Super Bowls. It happens. No one suggested to change the NFL playoff system - it worked itself out.
His last line in the clip is GOLD!

There is always a huge difference between the top 4-5 teams and the rest. The goal is not to have close games. It is to give teams that claim they could have been national champions the chance to prove that they are worthy. Look at the gauntlet put before Ohio State. I wish I could have seen the faces of the TCUN AD when yet another Ohio General scooped and ran through the heart of the South yet again.
