Hutchinson Island is my kind of place. I haven't been there in years, but have always loved the peace and quiet there.

There used to be a place nearby that had the best onion rings ever. I believe it was called Chumleys or Lord Chumleys.

How built up is the Stuart area now?

I really don't go into Stuart (I do go down to the southern part of the island and eat at the Pawn Broker )... Ft. Pierce has really exploded (and is in the process of being cleaned up), as has Vero. Most of the small homes have been forced out due to increased taxes, my guess is it will be wall to wall condo's, hotels, and resorts... Still quiet, just not near what it was a few years ago, and it is getting busier and busier each year...
