Exhibit A on why not to reach the ball out for the goal line - Tyrod Taylor ran about 20 yards, and got stripped on his way down at the 1 yard line. The ball bounced through the end zone - defense gets the ball on the 20.
It's so careless to stretch the ball out in traffic unless it's 4th down or the end of the half. Way too many guys are doing it the last few years.
