2026 VA RB Savion Hiter (Verbal Offer)

Dudes jacked for real. He seems even bigger than his playing days
He has been for awhile. I ran into him at the Easton Mall when he was about to turn pro. He was already starting to get jacked, but super cool guy that really enjoyed talking to me and my friends (all of us in high school). We were all laughing and he was like "Hey let's get a picture together!"...we didn't even ask, just an awesome guy. Keep him as long as we can.

He was out at Watkins Memorial (probably visiting Jaeden Ricketts) last week bc my daughters boyfriend showed him around the school. He said he was super nice and "completely jacked" lol

It looks like TTUN is scared of Ohio State swooping this recruit from them

Based on a recent scholarship offer, it seems like Michigan is afraid the Ohio State football program is going to beat them for this recruit.

As spring starts to turn into summer, the Ohio State football team's recruiting efforts are starting to heat up. When camp season starts, that's when the Buckeyes start to accumulate more recruits. They still have quite a few top-level recruits that they are looking at.

One of those recruits is five-star running back Savion Hiter. Hiter is the best running back in the country and is from the state of Virginia. That's where TreVeyon Henderson is from, so the Buckeyes clearly have a track record of landing running backs from that area of the country.

One of the other teams that is going after Hiter is Michigan. He will be visiting TTUN on June 13th, but the Buckeyes will have him on campus next weekend. Based on a scholarship offer TTUN just sent out, it seems like they are conceding the fact that they won't be landing Hiter.

The Ohio State football team seems to have the upper hand for five-star running back Savion Hiter over Michigan

TTUN sent out a scholarship offer to another running back in the last couple of days. That shows that they don't feel confident about their standing with Hiter at the moment. In fact, it could show the fact that they are conceding that the Ohio State Buckeyes have a better chance of landing him.

Ohio State feels confident about what Carlos Locklyn brings to the recruiting trail. His first recruiting cycle last year was pretty solid with the guys that he was able to bring in. Hiter would be the first five-star back that the Buckeyes have landed since Henderson back in 2021.

I don't think they really had a real great chance at him anyways, They were probably 4th and best in the pecking order.

Just sayin': We might find out who is willing to pay him between $600K to $800K as a freshman on August 19, 2025

Hiter took an official visit to OSU this summer and has been to Columbus several times throughout his recruitment. Less than a month out, though, Michigan and Tennessee are the two programs that have the most momentum with Hiter.

Assuming he heads elsewhere, Carlos Locklyn and Ohio State may be content to roll with just Favour Akih as the lone running back commit for the current 2026 class. There’s always the possibility Locklyn tries to flip a late riser in the fall or OSU goes after a transfer portal running back, but barring something unexpected, it may be a one-running back class.

Given the five-year shelf life of a running back in the NFL, can certainly see him making hay when the sun shines. Three-four years of $800k a year won't set him up for life, but will certainly give him a solid financial base (assuming he doesn't blow it on cars, booze, drugs or girls). And if the money tap runs dry at wherever he selects, there's always the portal, once again, assuming that no injury, he in fact does perform well, etc. High stakes poker, without the ability to work the math.

Uh if this kid earns $800k/yr for 3yrs in college($2.4m) than that absolutely sets him up for life! He's not retiring, but he certainly has more choices and avenues to earn even more revenue(think of the amount of stocks, bonds, start ups, real estate, etc)

Certainly not arguing about the gross numbers, but when you subtract taxes, 18 year old proclivity for fast cars, and immaturity in investment abilities, might not be enough to fund the next 50-60 years on this planet. Just saying....Have read too many stories about highly paid NFL stars being on the streets, homeless, because they blew their wads (a RB with boots that had live goldfish in the heels comes to mind)....
