The 6-foot-1 and 195-pound Steele passed the “look test” with flying colors. Steele has a very impressive list of 20 scholarship offers that also includes Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Virginia, North Carolina and Boston College. Steele told me the offer from the Buckeyes vaulted Ohio State to the top, he said Ohio State is now the No. 1 school on his list. He will return for an unofficial visit with the Buckeyes on June 20. Steele is being recruited by the Buckeyes for the bullet position.
