I'm familiar with this syndrome, it was fairly similar in Central IN (tho I was in a small town so there was little traffic). Snow is only a problem when you get 3 feet of it and huge drifts from the wind... otherwise it is a welcome visitor rather than slush/ice.

Pay attention... the sno is not the problem... its the 1.5 million morons who are going to get in your way because tehy think its a problem.

Yeah... well.. if you're driving in the morning, and there's been 5 inches... keep your head on a swivel... someone will do something totally stupid and inexplicable to those who grew up with snow.

I admit that I am one of those that worry about having to drive through the snow (because of all of the idiots out there that don't know how to drive let alone how to drive in snow).

What I don't understand is when you know that the roads are going to be bad, yet you still tell your employees that they have to be in at work the next day unless it is a level 3 snow emergency. I don't believe in this. Most of the time they are only going to have the main roads cleared. Not everyone lives on a main road!!

I think that your boss should be telling you to stay home and be safe if you feel the roads are too bad. They should not tell you, I don't care if it takes you three hours to get here, get here!.
