UPSET - Troy 41, Oklahoma State 23

Watson, Crick & A Twist
A pretty big upset when you consider the hopes the Cowboys held coming into this season - and the two prior losses Troy accumulated vs Arkansas and Florida:

Yahoo - Sports

TROY, Ala. (AP) -- Omar Haugabook passed for a career-high 371 yards and a touchdown and ran for 49 yards and two scores as Troy upset Oklahoma State 41-23 in a dominating performance Friday night.
It was only the second win in 10 tries for the Trojans of the Sun Belt Conference against a Big 12 opponent. Led by Haugabook's passing and running, Troy outplayed the Cowboys throughout, gaining 562 total yards to 432 for Oklahoma State.
Troy (1-2) played an aggressive, emotional game in front of their home crowd after opening the season with lopsided road losses to No. 16 Arkansas and No. 5 Florida. It was possibly Troy's biggest win since Sept. 9, 2004, when then-No. 17 Missouri, also of the Big 12, came to Troy and was upset by the Trojans 24-14.
A group of about 100 fans tore down one of the goal posts within minutes after the game ended and paraded it around the field.
It was another bad day away from home for the Cowboys (1-2), who are 2-9 in their last 11 road games. They had four turnovers and had trouble all night keeping up with the speedy Troy offense.

Okie State goes down to Troy. KSU can't beat Auburn but USF did. Texas struggled with Arkansas state. Yet the story in CFB is how bad the B10 sucks and oh btw OU is great again because they score 70 ppg against bad teams. :shake:

If my son ever comes to me and says he is going to be a sportswriter, I'm going to slap his mother.

I'd have to agree with that assessment - Big 12 is dragged down by this loss.
Now if Nebraska does beat 'SC then we will have some of those writers crowing about resurgence in the historically soft B12 North - ignoring all evidence to the contrary.
