Dude, WTF, you are cycling now?
Welcome to the ranks!
Jeese!Yeah, my knees and shins can handle it. I've got a couple routes I do, one ten and one twenty miles. I'm not just blazing fast because of the lungs, but I see clear progress.
I like to go from Dublin Coffman to Glacier Ridge, often through Indian Run and Red Preserve past Karrer Middle, then there's a winding path that goes North forever and a day. Back Hyland Croy to Muirfield, Brand back to Coffman. Pretty chill, good shade in parts, and trafficked enough that if I have an emergency someone will be by.
Jeese!
Went from bed-ridden to cycling 20 miles?
Cocaine is a hell of a drug!
14 mph is great pace.Well that's the benefit of a lot of work up over the last several months. Only started doing twenties in the last month or so and I don't think I'll expand much beyond that.
Also, I'm probably only averaging like 14mph or so. Not one of the serious tour guys around these parts.
After the heart attack I had little choice but to find a way to get low impact cardio, and this has been a good choice.

WTF, you had a heart attack? When?
Not when I'm driving through them. It is... Of course difficult not to use more than one lane in a roundabout driving a 5500lb truck through it at 80mph. That's more for the Honda fits. I give cyclists plenty of room of course.

I ride on the road and hate traffic circles.I stay off the roads as much as possible. One, exhaust is a respiratory trigger, but two, Dublin has like 120 miles of bike paths. I mean, there are options that don't involve people looking at my ass while I'm plodding along.

I consider it a public service to stick to the paths.
