It'll bring in a Super Bowl and--ncaa willing--a final four and maybe football championship site.

Just sayin': It will never get a Super Bowl unless there is a NFL team there. The NFL team owners wouldn't stand for it. The Super Bowl is a "cash cow" to help the owners pay for their stadiums and/or a reward for a city that helps fund a (new) stadium for a NFL team.

They held the Rosebowl (er...SuperBowl) in Pasadena one year and the game continually cycles between NoLa, Miami, and San Diego, with one and done venues stuck in between.

I think it would be great for a Superbowl. Arguably the worlds largest sporting event in the entertainment capital of America? Custom tailored fit IMO

Los Angles has had several SuperBowls, the last one was in 1993. The LA Rams were the host NFL team. They moved out after the 1994 season, and Los Angles has not had a SuperBowl since. Times have changed since the early SuperBowls; it's really all about the money now and the NFL owners want to keep it in their cities, etc. Also, the NFL (somewhat) uses it as a reward system to the cities that help pay for a NFL team's new stadium, etc. Las Vegas will never get a SuperBowl unless they get a NFL team first. The owners are too greedy to allow it to happen.

Maybe it's part of your "NCAA willing" portion of your sentence, but didn't the NCAA recently say they wouldn't play any post-season games of any kind in New Jersey, because it is now legal to bet on sporting events in Atlantic City? I didn't follow that story very much, but I get the feeling that the NCAA wants to keep sports gambling away as best they can. If my memory is correct and that story is right, I don't think the NCAA will be willing to have a Final 4 in Nevada, much less Las Vegas.
