Their helmets were gray.

Their closest match was Oklahoma's pro combat uniforms. They were a nike tribute jersey masquerading as a tribute uniform.

Why do people fear change so much? Same thing happened in 2006 when they went to he design they have now... people got so mad. Last year's tribute uni's... love 'em or hate 'em had nothing to do with the outcome of the game. It will be the same this year. College football is not only a sport, it is a business. Those pro combat uniforms were sold out for MONTHS after the game. Good move by Nike AND tOSU to bring them in... more revenue for both! Also, the uniforms were done very tastefully. The pants looked great, the socks were sweet, the white helmets w/ numbers were pretty cool, and the jersey was a welcome ALTERNATE version of the normal OSU jersey.

It's not like they looked like this..

:stupid::rofl:

Nothing from the Ducks would surprise me.

As for tOSU, as long as we wear scarlet and gray the style doesn't much concern me. If we come out in fucking black jerseys or some stupid shit like that, I'll be pissed.

Respecting tradition, understanding the importance it has played in the long term success of certain programs and feeling that said programs should be above being jerked around by marketing execs pushing a crappy product has nothing to do with 'fear'.

I can do this all night! LOL

What? Post pictures that clearly show that the 1954 uniforms look nothing like the Nike abominations?

Yes the helmets were white. They didn't have numerals on them. The sleeves are completely different & the stripes on the pants are very different.

Outside of having white jerseys & gray bottoms they have nothing in common.
