Former Miami and Cleveland Browns coach Butch Davis, West Virginia coach Rich Rodriguez and Navy coach Paul Johnson have been mentioned in speculation as possible successors to John Bunting at North Carolina. But North Carolina has not yet even announced the process it will use in the search and likely will keep its candidates confidential.

You can move this to the rumor mill if you want, but the same source who told me about Hart donating a kidney to Manningham later this week saw JT getting off a small plane at the CHI (Chapel Hill International) airport.

I heard he was just meeting Pete Carroll and Thread Davis for wings at Hooters.

My comment was agreeing with you that being unemployed is better right now than being the coach at UNC.

I know, and I agree with your observation/dig. But he's only *relatively* unemployed. Some people out there might think that if a guy like him isn't actually coaching somewhere that he's sleeping on a park bench and making friends with pigeons.

I don't get the NFL Network and was unaware he was working for them.

Only get NFL network on Sirius.

What happened to the program Mack Brown left?

Something big turned it into a ghost town, like Ragtown, California. (look closely at the plaque)? Word is it might be about to affect the basketball program too.

What, no Kirk Ferentz? I mean, since he's leading 7-5-owa to that Outback Bowl dynasty, he should be at the top of EVERY list :slappy:

In all seriousness, if Rodriguez left WVU for UNC he might be the dumbest man alive.

I have a question. I understand that SEC is good and that might effect S. Carolina, but it seems year in and year out that SC and NC put out a ton of talent but it why can't teams like NC St., Clemson, N. Carolina make consistent runs in the ACC. They have a good year here and there like Clemson this year, but then they fall off the face of the earth. It seems like these schools are talking about firing their coach or searching for new ones every other year.

Maybe Grad could help out on this one. You would think they could get home talent and then go into Florida, Maryland, PA, NJ and steal some players and put together some good teams.
