UNC-Asheville +23.5 at tOSU (ov/un 145.5) Sat noon BTN

Be a lot more entertaining if they had that 8 foot guy still playing.
Well, they have a 7 foot guy on their roster but I don't know how much he plays. I wonder what ever happened that 8 footer because I thought you would have kept track of him:wink:

I don't know about covering because this team only lost to North Carolina State by two points a little over a week ago but I do like the over.

Yeah, Kenny George was the mammoth big man they had back in 2008. His story is a sad one, about as sad as a college basketball story as you will find. I feel sorry for him, he is so big he didn't have a normal life to start with, and he couldn't even stay healthy long enough to capitalize on the advantage of being so large by being able to play pro basketball.

On another note, there are a lot worse programs out there than Asheville, as they have had great success in their league in recent years, but even if you're going to schedule guarantee games I would be scheduling more teams from the MAC, MAAC and Horizon (and a few of the best Ivy programs such as Princeton and Harvard) rather than recycling teams like Asheville every other year.

• Matchup to watch: Jeremy Atkinson leads UNC-Asheville in points (18.1 average) and rebounds (7.9) and has made nearly twice as many free throws as any teammate. He should draw either, or both, of the Buckeyes’ best wing defenders, Sam Thompson and Lenzelle Smith Jr.

• Notable: Aaron Craft needs seven steals to tie David Lighty (191) for second on the Ohio State career list. Jay Burson holds the record (204). … Evan Ravenel will receive his undergraduate degree in consumer and family financial services during commencement on Sunday. … Four of Asheville’s losses have been by eight points or less, including a two-pointer at North Carolina State. … This is the Bulldogs’ fourth visit to Value City Arena in six seasons. They lost by 18 points in the 2008 NIT, 24 the following season and 47 two years ago.

• Next: Winthrop, 7 p.m. Tuesday, Value City Arena

They missed the obvious joke by not saying "Hornsby with the Range" when he made a 3-pointer.

For those not watching, Bruce Hornsby's kid has 18 first-half points for UNC-Asheville, including 4 buckets from outside the arc.

They told a story of a 14-year-old Bruce Hornsby getting Eddie Biedenbach's autograph at a camp long ago, and still having it when he talked to the coach a little while back when he said he'd be glad to have his son play for Beidenbach.
