UFC 87: Brock Lesnar vs. Heath Herring

Brock is very quick and light on his feet for his size but he needs some better coaches/more experience. He looks a little lost on the ground.

Well, I wouldn't say he looks "lost" because he held his opponent to the ground and beat the fuck out of them. He needs to learn some submissions, but he's so strong that if he can get that down, he might just be what the UFC needs in the heavyweights, something that people can discuss that's big and isn't Fedor.

I didn't get to see his fight vs Mir, but after seeing how strong he is tonight, I will say that if Lesnar can continue to develop, he's got a lot of potential. The heavyweights need something to bring excitement, and he might just be it.

I agree he dominated Herring. He is so big and strong there was nothing Herring could do. Where he needs to improve is from his mount. He did nothing except lay on him. He never tried to posture up and capitalize from that position. If he can round his game out the sky is the limit for him. Although his post fight antics/interviews make me think that he thinks he is still in the WWE.

Edit: if you want to see his fight against mir check out mmatko.com. they have pretty much all the mma fights on there.

We are on the same page here, for what it's worth, He needs to learn Jujitsu, he needs a ground game that isn't wrestling, he needs to know how to do something once he gets someone to the ground, that's what I tried to say in my original post.

Also, I agree on the second part. The guy is a great fighter, he has more potential than I have ever seem in a mma fighter, but he needs to learn that he has to respect his opponent, and that the trash talked beforehand isn't anything personal, it's to sell the fight.

I will check it out tomorrow, right now, I am pretty drunk.
