UCONN Women - best ever?

I am just starting to look ahead to the NCAA ladies tourney and I had no idea UConn has been performing as they have.

Not only are they undefeated, their closest game is 10 points. They have played three teams ranked in the top 7 and beaten them by at least 28 points each.

And they have only one senior on the team who plays more than 10 minutes per game.

Ouch.

(And for anyone who opened this thread thinking the title was about something else, I have never knowingly sampled Connecticut's offerings. However, I did have a friend in high school who went to Alaska for a couple of years. When he left he was a skinny little runt, but when he came back he was a husky fucker.)

One word: Immaculata :banger:

Immaculata College won the first national collegiate women's basketball championship in 1972. The all-girls Catholic school outside Philadelphia went on to win the title the next two years as well.

Daaaaamn, and ESPN just drools over that Vol Lady's coach. Where's the coverage for this coach?

Oh, baby!
Insert Tennessee coach
I really didn't need to see that:sick1: and please don't put up a picture of slick Gene from UConn. I have always believed that women should coach women's teams and men should coach men. I know that that probably is old-school.

The thing that I have always thought about regarding both of the basketball programs at UConn is that there certainly isn't much up in Stohrs Connecticut to do and I don't think they have the nicest of winters so how the hell do they get all of these recruits:huh:

Slow day for the Connecticut ladies. All they did was beat a 29-4 Louisville team 75-36 to clinch the Big East tourney title.

There's a guard I saw play a few times that will be going to UCONN next season, Kelly Farris. All-around player, she'll be a good one.

That Maya Moore is phenomenal though.

I know they get good players but what baffles me is why do these players go to Stohrs CN. I mean is there anything in that town:huh:

They're young girls. They think there's a ton of shopping because of the name.

OK, where do I hide to avoid the wrath of the 'Hell hath no fury' bunch?
