UCLA Bruins (official thread)

UCLA may have had a slight reset with the new coaches at the helm, and PSU though national championship fraudulent, does have a clear talent edge. Scoring that many points on Knowles is not easy. So, it does bring a raise of the eyebrow.

I didn't say UCLA is a serious threat to OSU, however, clearly they now can do some things.

I am actually curious to see how they do against MD.

It is not as though OSU has not had weird let down games in the past. You can name them, but they exist.
We just won a national championship. Our defense lost almost everybody and is somehow BETTER. The best parts of our offense are all so young they HAVE to come back to college for at least one more year.

UCLA, in the middle of having a season that made people legitimately question if they were the worst team in all of division 1 football.......worse than UMass and Same Houston State.......pulls a win out of their asses against a team we all know underperforms with a fraudulent QB.

And your first thought is to worry. Not to celebrate having Jeremiah Smith. Not to enjoy Carnell Tate breaking out. Not to soak up the RS freshman QB throwing dimes all over the field. Not wondering if our Bo Jackson might be better than the Bo Jackson. Not the defense that still hasn't given up double digit points. It's to wonder if UCLA is something to worry about.

1998 - Ohio State lost to Mich State.
2009 - Ohio State lost to Purdue.
2014 - Ohio State lost to Virginia Tech.
2017 - Ohio State lost to Iowa.
2018 - Ohio State lost to Purdue.
I could go on...
My point is that Ohio State should worry about every team a little bit. Not that previous coaches didn't worry about them a little bit, but if you don't worry a little bit, we could have more to add to this list.
Yep.... agreed.

See to me, your response is more unreasonable. Hey it's a message board.

It's more unreasonable to enjoy the best player in CFB than it is to wonder if UCLA will beat us at home? Really?

Bonus: You don't even know who I'm referring to when I say "the best player in CFB", because we have 2 of them. But OH NOES!!!! UCLAAAAAA.

You had me, and then you lost me.
Is he a run threat? I always thought he was more of a threat in the air.
This has to be a troll job.

I threw something equally stupid but at least not Debbie Downer in there.
In no way anything I wrote was Debbie Downer, and could be interpreted as a slight against OSU. In fact, personally I am as excited about this team as anybody.

Again this is a message board. OSU fans I believe are not members of a cult, who can't just discuss potential games in the future and just make discussion.

By unreasonable, I mean people who either believe that a team is infallible, or are overly pessimistic for any imperfection. I was neither.

Just pointed out that maybe UCLA is now, possibly, a team to keep an eye on.

You said worried. Because they beat Drew Allar. No, Ohio State shouldn't be worried about the worst team in the conference.
