UCLA +14.5 at USC (ov/un 58.5) Sat 10 ET, FSN

UCLA goes to the PTCG even if they lose.

They could win their division and end the season with 2 losses and a 6-7 record. When divisional formats go badly...

Yep - after the thread was created Utah lost, so UCLA didn't even need a win yesterday.

I think UCLA could become the first bowl team to end the season with 8 losses. North Texas ended up 5-7 in 2001 when they went to New Orleans Bowl as the 5-6 Sun Belt Champion - I think that's the worst record ever for a bowl team.

Rick Neuheisel defends job status

UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel said Sunday that winning five conference games and advancing to the Pac-12 championship game should be enough for him to keep his job, no matter if the Bruins backed in to the conference title game.
"I was told that we need to move the needle and if the needle moved that we would be fine and I'd get to continue along my five years of my five-year contract," Neuheisel said. "We have won five conference games as opposed to three last year. We have won the right to represent the South in the conference championship. We've certainly had some unfortunate evenings where things haven't gone our way, but I think the program is headed in the right direction."
