U.S. Men's National Soccer (Official Thread)

I'm guessing Ream, Delatorre and Richards find make the WC roster from this group. That's rough

Edit: Tyler Adam's and Brendan Aaronson off the bench probably as well

Let me preface this by saying this is not a prediction and also I don't feel like I know who is going to be included, really at all compared to say last time when it was really pretty clear except for 2-3 slots.

But last cycle I made the case for Jordan Morris to at least be considered based on the Idea that he was kind of a unique player in the pool and had the ability to impact matches in different ways than the rest of the group (and he was ultimately selected and played against Wales)

I would say for this cycle, for the same reasons but having very different traits, I would put Diego Luna in that category

I think Malik Tillman is basically a lock as well. de la Torre honestly I don't know but there's a lot of dudes in the central midfield I hate to say it be he bores me about the same amount as Busio, Tessman, Cardoso, etc b

You're right and I kind of put a lot of those guys in the same categories: high potential but haven't seen it come together yet.

Luna is about as unique as it gets lol. He definitely has a Mexican/ Hispanic build! The only thing I noticed in the last match was that he struggled on any balls in the air, like he's short and can't jump. How often is that going to come into play and will his obvious skill with the ball more than compensate for that? Might be like you said though and may be worth it to have a player with different skills than the rest of the forward players on the roster. The anti-Pepi?

Well I would say as a group the usmnt is short on energy and aggression. Diego Luna is not. I would say he's a candidate to be a super sub in a couple different positions, striker probably isn't one. (That position is probably wide open as any as well)
